Greetings and welcome to Garden of Words!

GoW exists because I love to write, and I want to write more, without the noise of social networking to kill the mood. Pretty simple. Part of that urge is a book I’ve been writing, Life Lessons of a Backyard Gardener, which you can find here as it develops, if you subscribe. But the book is part of a broader need to create, which I must feed to feel alive. I also love to write and record music, I love to cook, I love to grow things and help people grow things, I love to think about the big questions of life. I even love to forecast winter weather, despite having no training. My professional training is in engineering, and most of my professional experience is in software development. But, truth be told, I don’t love either of those things. I love to create, and I love to write. And I will be sharing all of those interests here, plus many others.

Why subscribe?

You can subscribe for free to access a lot of the content, and to receive occasional notifications for certain posts (don’t worry, I won’t fill your inbox with nuisance E-Mails). Paid subscribers also get full access to archives, access to my online book: Life Lessons of a Backyard Gardener, and other occasional content that I choose to reserve for paid subscribers. Paid subscribers will get E-Mail notifications when I publish anything that is reserved for paid subscribers (e.g., new chapters of the book).
